This English version is provided for convenience only. Editando Ideas is a Mexican company and this notice is governed by Mexican law; the Spanish version is the authoritative text and prevails in case of any discrepancy.
Who is responsible for your data
Editando Ideas, with Eduardo Enrique García Aguilar as data controller, decides what the personal data it receives is used for and answers for it.
This notice covers editandoideas.com and the channels we work through: email, phone, and WhatsApp.

What this site does, in short
Before the long text, here is exactly what happens while you browse editandoideas.com:
- There are no forms. The site never asks for or stores anything you type.
- You give us your data only if you choose to email, call, or WhatsApp us.
- We use Google measurement and advertising cookies to learn which content works and who we are reaching.
- Those cookies load only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Fonts are served from this same domain: no third-party requests are needed to render the page.
- The project calculator runs entirely in your browser: what you build there is never sent or stored anywhere.
You can confirm all of this by opening the network tab in your browser developer tools.
a. What data we handle and where it comes from
This site does not collect personal data on its own. There are no contact, registration, subscription, or payment forms. The data we handle is what you choose to send us through an official channel: email, phone, or WhatsApp.
Depending on the channel and what you tell us, that usually means your name, email, phone number, the company you represent, your role, and whatever project information you want to share. We do not need more and we do not ask for more.
Separately, the measurement and advertising services described below handle device identifiers and browsing data — pages viewed, time on page, traffic source, approximate city, device type, and browser. That data does not identify you by name and we do not cross-reference it with what you write to us.
b. What we use it for
Necessary purposes, without which we cannot help you
- Answering your message and carrying the commercial or technical conversation.
- Preparing proposals, estimates, and contracts.
- Delivering and following up on the service you hire.
- Invoicing and meeting the tax and accounting obligations the law imposes on us.
Optional purposes, which you can decline without losing anything
- Sending you content, updates, or invitations to technical sessions.
- Measuring site usage to improve what we publish.
- Showing ads to audiences similar to the people who already visit us.
To stop any of the optional purposes, just tell us on the same channel you wrote in on, or at hola@editandoideas.com. We will not ask why, and it does not affect any service you have contracted.
e. Artificial intelligence
We use generative AI tools in our engineering work and for internal tasks such as drafting, summarizing, and reviewing code. It is worth being precise about what that means for your data.
We do not put personal data belonging to clients or their users into third-party AI tools without a contractual basis for it and without the provider committing not to use it to train its models.
No decision affecting you is made automatically. If a tool helps prepare an estimate, a diagnosis, or a proposal, a person reviews and signs it before it reaches you. You have the right to object to any automated processing that produces effects on your rights and interests without human intervention, and to ask how a given result was reached.
We do not use your personal data to train our own models, and we do not hand it to anyone for that purpose.
g. Transfers and where the data lives
Some of the providers above are outside Mexico, so your data may be processed in other countries, mainly the United States and the European Union.
These transfers are the ones necessary to deliver the service or maintain our relationship with you, and in those cases the law does not require separate consent. Any transfer beyond the ones described here will be put to you before it happens.
If you contract from Spain or another European Union country, we also handle your data under the General Data Protection Regulation, and you keep the rights it grants you — including the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
h. How long we keep it
Data from a commercial conversation that does not lead to a contract is kept while the opportunity is alive and for up to two years after the last contact, in case you pick the project back up.
Data from a contracted relationship is kept for its duration and afterwards for the periods Mexican tax and commercial rules require, which for accounting records is five years.
Site measurement data is kept for the period configured in the tool, which does not exceed fourteen months.
Once the period is up, the data is deleted or anonymized.
i. How we protect it
We apply technical and organizational measures proportionate to the data we handle: named and revocable access, two-step authentication on work accounts, encryption in transit, and full-disk encryption on our machines.
Access is limited to the people who need it to help you, all of them under a confidentiality obligation.
No measure removes risk entirely. If a breach were to significantly affect your rights, we would tell you without delay, along with what we know and what we are doing about it.
j. Sensitive data and minors
We neither request nor need sensitive personal data: ethnic origin, health status, genetic information, religious or philosophical beliefs, union membership, political opinions, or sexual preference. Please do not send it to us.
Our services are aimed at companies and are not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect data from people under eighteen.
k. Your rights and how to exercise them
At any time you can ask us to access your data, rectify it if it is inaccurate, cancel it when it is no longer needed, or object to a specific use. These are the ARCO rights. You can also withdraw any consent you have given us, at any time.
You exercise them by writing to hola@editandoideas.com. There is no form to fill in: an email is enough.
So that we can identify you and know what you are asking for, please include:
- Your name and a way to reply to you.
- A document proving your identity or the capacity in which you act.
- Which specific data is involved and what you want us to do with it.
- Anything that helps us locate it, such as the email address you wrote from.
We reply within a maximum of twenty business days. Where applicable, we implement the request within the following fifteen business days. The process is free of charge.
m. Changes to this notice
This notice may change if our services, our operation, or the applicable rules change. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date at the top.
If a change affects the purposes we use your data for, we will tell you and ask for your consent again before applying it. The law in force no longer allows treating prior consent as valid on the grounds that a new purpose is similar.
d. Social networks and messaging
We have a presence on professional networks and we answer on WhatsApp. When you interact with us there — a message, a comment, a connection request — we handle what you write in order to reply, just as if it had arrived by email.
What we do not control is the platform. Meta, LinkedIn, and whoever operates the network you use handle your data under their own terms and as independent controllers: what they collect, how long they keep it, and who they share it with is governed by their policies, not by this notice. If that concerns you, write to us by email instead.
We do not scrape profiles or contact lists from any network to build commercial databases.
